T8 Fluorescent Light Not Working

The new t8 led tubes are not working on my ballasts.
T8 fluorescent light not working. One clue that your ballast is the reason for a non working fluorescent light is the light bulbs struggle to turn on. Fluorescent lights are commonly used because of their low operating cost. A fluorescent tube that is failed or failing usually has darkened areas near one or both ends of the tube. Or you can read the printing on the tube to identify the correct replacement type.
To replace remove the old tube and bring it to the hardware store. You cannot mix fluorescent fixtures and incandescent fixtures on the same dimmer switch. Like other lighting fixtures fluorescent light fixtures sometimes work improperly. I got these t8 size led light tubes to replace fluorescent tubes.
The no part of this question is that the conventional dimmer switches you can purchase at the hardware store are designed for incandescent lighting only not fluorescent lighting. As i said in the intro we noticed this happening over a 3 4 week period. A burnt out lamp is the most common reason any light fixture does not light. I have 3 different ballasts and none of them work with the led tubes.
Diagnosing which problem you have and how best to tackle it is a fairly simple job that you can do on your own. A good way to check that your ballast is the culprit is to turn on a voltage detector and hold it next to the wires supplying power to the ballast. Also these dimmers will not work for incandescent fixtures.
